Industrial Manufacturing
Company context
A Bajío manufacturing company that produces industrial components. It imports regularly from various suppliers in China by sea to Manzanillo and then transfers to its plant.
The challenge
Uncertainty about the real status of shipments. Information arrived from multiple sources and didn't allow anticipating when the goods would be available for ground transport, pressuring internal planning.
How the operation was built
Sama coordinated the full China–Manzanillo–Bajío flow: tracking from origin, in-transit monitoring, pre-arrival coordination, and continuous communication of milestones.
The result
Greater visibility of shipment progress and better coordination across areas. Greater ability to anticipate and plan logistics, supply, and receiving.
“What we valued most was having clearer information throughout the entire process. That allowed us to plan further ahead and reduce operational uncertainty.”
